Robert Lawton Joins Energy Advantage as Vice-President of Energy Efficiency And Environment

With demand rising for energy efficiency and environmental management services, Energy Advantage has increased its skill and expertise in this crucial area. Bob Lawton, a 30 year veteran of the energy industry, joins Energy Advantage as Vice President of Energy Efficiency and Environment. He takes over for Peter Rowles who has been promoted to Senior Vice President, Business Development.

Bob has extensive hands-on experience in the electrical equipment industry in product development and in applications and technical support related to a broad range of electrical transmission, distribution and utilization equipment. In addition, Bob has significant management experience focusing in the area of Customer solutions. Upon receiving his Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering in 1972 from McMaster University, Bob was recruited by Canadian General Electric Company, launching his career in the electrical industry. He led the Marketing and Engineering departments of McGraw Edison Limited, a major utility equipment supplier, was Marketing Manager of Federal Pioneer Limited, and General Manager of the Electrical Distribution and Control Division of GE Canada. Bob is also very familiar with the needs of major retailers based on his experience with Home Depot and their suppliers.

Bob has a Master of Business Administration from McMaster University, a Diploma in Business Administration from University of Toronto, and a Bachelor of Engineering from McMaster University.
